The Roundhouse is a previously listed railway engine shed of grade II located in London chalk form. Now it has been transformed into a best venue for occasions, concerts and performing various arts. This was initially constructed in the year 1847. The construction work was done by the London and North Western Railway. This was built as a roundhouse in form of a circular building with a railway turntable,however it was used only for this reason for just ten years and after that is was being utilized as a warehouse for a long period of time. After about 25 years the building was reopened in the year 1964 in form of a venue for events and performing arts. Then the building was established as a theatre. In the year 1983, the control of the building was handed over by the Greater London Council to the Camden London Borough Council. Till then Centre 42 found short of funds and the building was unutilized in anticipation of a native businessman bought the building in the year 1996.It again shut down in the year 2004 for the reason of redevelopment. In the year 2006, the Argentine show Fuerzabruta was started there. Till the year 2006, this place has hosted many festivals and events too. In the year 2010, Roundhouse Studios put a record label. In the year 1996, the building was utilized for the promotion of Manic Street Preachers'.

This was in co-operation with the board of trustees that contained Monty Python writer Terry Gilliam and Bob Geldof and Suggs. In the same year Bob Dylan has a great performance with his band. Moreover in the same year in the month of July Apple Computer presented the iTunes Music Festival at the same place. The Roundhouse was announced as a Heritage Site in 2010.This happened after Michael of Kent presented a Transport Trust Heritage Plaque. It is supposed to be a prominent example of railway architecture of mid-19th century. The building is built in yellow brick and is known for its unique circular shape .The unique roof has a centralized smoke outlet which is backed by cast-iron Doric columns and a structure of curved ribs. The inner space has the basic flooring and also some parts of the fragments and turntable of the old railway lines.
